The navigation story is the reason to look at this model. Anthbot says 360-degree LiDAR and Dual Vision help with tight corners, narrow paths, shade, and more than 1,000 obstacles. That could be useful on a small but complicated residential lot.

Anthbot describes 10-minute auto mapping, RTK, AI camera avoidance, multi-zone management, automatic scheduling, and a 45%/24° slope capability. Genie 1000 and Genie 3000 are listed with one year of free 4G service. Those features are attractive for a larger yard, but they also mean the buyer must select the model carefully.

Do not compare the $699 base headline with the $949 M5 LiDAR and assume the Genie is simply the cheaper equivalent. Confirm lawn size, battery, coverage, 4G, shipping, warranty, and accessories for the exact variant in the cart.

The no-wire promise still needs a yard audit

No perimeter wire removes one installation task; it does not remove the need to understand the lawn. Before ordering either mower, sketch:

• Every edge where grass meets a drop, bed, pond, driveway, or road.
• Narrow gates and paths the mower must cross.
• Trees, play equipment, pet areas, hoses, toys, and temporary obstacles.
• Slopes and transitions that become slippery after rain.
• A charging location with power, drainage, clearance, and reliable connectivity.

The right question is not “does it have AI?” It is “what happens at the five hardest places in my yard?” A product page cannot answer that for an unmeasured property.
