Enhance MPP Turbo Review

The Enhance MPP Turbo with ArmorGrit keeps the familiar MPP foam platform and adds a different surface system. We like the elongated version for players who already want reach and are interested in a face designed to retain ball interaction over time. ArmorGrit is a brand-developed coating, so we treat its longevity language as a product goal rather than a guaranteed result. Use code PRH through our Enhance promo code page.

What changed from the MPP Turbo

Enhance says the foam core, perimeter ring, internal weighting, and shape options carry over from the original MPP Turbo. ArmorGrit is the meaningful update. It combines a peel-ply textured carbon face with a proprietary coating that has its own abrasive characteristics and is intended to help maintain the surface’s ball interaction.

That makes this a focused revision, not a completely new paddle. If you already liked the MPP Turbo’s softer floating-foam feel, the new version keeps that foundation while giving you a different surface to consider. If the original platform was not a fit, a coating alone will not change the shape, balance, or core response enough to make it a different category of paddle.

Why we like the elongated option

The elongated shape is for players who want more reach and leverage and are comfortable with a narrower contact area. That can be a good match for singles, drives, and players who naturally prefer a longer paddle. Our best pickleball paddles guide explains when to choose a reach-first design and when to move toward a wider face.

The foam platform and internal perimeter weighting are meant to support a responsive feel and stability across the face. Those are manufacturer design claims, but they fit the MPP Turbo’s role as a performance-oriented paddle rather than a basic starter. The elongated shape still demands clean contact; choose the hybrid or widebody version if quick hands and a larger contact area matter more.

What to know about ArmorGrit

The product story is easy to understand: exposed texture can wear, and Enhance is adding a coating system over a textured carbon face to help preserve its interaction with the ball. That is a meaningful reason to compare the new version with the standard MPP Turbo.

Long-term durability depends on use, balls, storage, and care. We would not treat the brand’s description as proof of a fixed lifespan or a guarantee that spin stays identical. If surface wear is your main reason to upgrade, read the current manufacturer explanation and decide whether that design approach is worth the extra cost to you.

Who should buy it

Choose the ArmorGrit Elongated if you already prefer an elongated shape, like the MPP Turbo platform, and want the revised surface system. It is also a reasonable shortlist pick when you are comparing textured paddles and want a design with a clear durability rationale rather than a vague “more spin” pitch.

Skip it if you need a broad sweet spot, want effortless maneuverability, or require years of independent wear data before paying for a coating. A hybrid or widebody will fit more players who spend most of their time in doubles. Our durable-grit paddle guide compares other approaches to surface life.

Our verdict

The MPP Turbo with ArmorGrit is a smart update for players who already like the platform and want to try its new surface system. We recommend the elongated version to reach-oriented players who understand the shape tradeoff. The code improves the value, while a clear-eyed view of the durability claim keeps the buying decision grounded.
